At just 90 degrees today, it's practically chilly out! I took full advantage of the cooler weather and took Zoe for a loooong walk. She doesn't understand yet that she needs to stand still in order to not blur the photo.....
After staying in the kennel Friday through Monday, and then straight into my bathroom while I was at the Rangers game last night, tonight is definitely all about my Zoe girl. In fact, I can barely type write now as she rests her head on my left hand....
Last minute today, I had to go with Brian to the Rangers game. One of his clients rented a box, and we {apparently} had to go. We were exhausted from getting in so late last night, but it was a good time. Definitely helped that it was an indoor/outdoor box, since it was 100 degrees at 8:30 tonight. Oh, and the food was delish, too :)
Today, Brian and I are headed northbound on 75. And then east and north on a bunch of other roads, headed toward Shell Knob, MO. No, that's not a made-up town, even though it sounds like it to me....
I really want to get back into running {outside, off the dreaded treadmill}. It definitely takes baby steps! I ran a very slow 2.42 miles this morning. But hopefully I'll speed up and start taking some further runs soon!
Our COO hosted an appreciation dinner tonight for every SWA employee who contributed to our RNP project. It was held at Maggiano's....in Plano. I concluded that I absolutely can never commute in my life. Driving the suburbs after work? Not for me, thankyouverymuch. Beside the hour drive there, the dinner was delish!
Today was my final photography class. Our crazy teacher greeted us with red wine and chocolate, and we reviewed everyone's scavenger hunt and photo essay pictures. It was actually kind of sad! I learned a lot and am so glad I took the class. Hope I can now put it all to good use!
Today, I took all of the other photos for the photo essay. Since the theme is going home, I took photos of all different types of transportation--helping Brian get home. Duh. I think it turned out well!
For our final photography class assignment, we have to complete a photo essay. I chose a thematic photo essay, and my theme is "Going Home".
I took the first--and last--shots today. Brian's my model for these shots, and this is the first one. That's him lost in downtown Dallas, deciding that it's time for him to go home. {The final shot was him standing in front of a house, back to the camera, holding his suitcase.}
Brian and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary tonight with dinner at Nick & Sam's. And we stuffed ourselves. But it was delish :) And a very great night!
Brian sent me roses at work today for our two year anniversary! I happened to have my camera with me, so I snapped a couple close-ups of my pretty bouquet.
For photog class tonight, we had a "photo scavenger hunt" in Bishop Arts District. It was harder than I thought--but definitely fun. One of the items on the scavenger hunt list was taking a photo that gave a good example of where you were. I love how this photo turned out! Those random people on vintage-y bicycles were doing an engagement photo shoot, so that's why they happen to be riding down the middle of the street on cute little bikes.
I went straight to my friend, Randi's, apartment after work today. We had a blast eating dinner, watching bad TV, and....ahem....Facebook stalking. What? You do it, too.
And then I came home to this face. That's the heartbreaking face of a dog who feels abandoned :( And the worst part is that I have plans every night this week. I'm going to have one sad puppy on my hands!
That helicopter in the sky? The little black speck? No? Me neither. But it was there. See, Air Force One landed at Love Field today. And whenever that happens, all SWA Employees go up to the deck and watch. Well, I had to work. I hate when work gets in the way of fun when you're at....work.
When I finally left near 6p.m., the helicopter was clearing the sky in the no fly zone before Air Force One departed again. So that's all I got to see.......and it didn't even turn up in the picture :(
Only way to describe my new nail color from Essie. It's called Jazz--and anyone who has danced can see why that is the perfect name for this color! Love it.
Before Kara went back to Indiana, she and Kelly wanted to do everything "Dallas-y". I insisted that she do a happy hour at Primo's, because really--what's more Dallas than that? Since it's 137 degrees outside, it wasn't crowded on the patio, but it was still fun!
After six months away from flying, my dad is back and ready for work! He now has to requalify since he didn't fly for so long, so he's in Dallas for several days of training. Ever the diligent pilot, he spent tonight studying up and reading every.single newsletter, memo, and manual bulletin/revision that was in his domicile mailbox. Look how cute he looks, concentrating so hard! If only every pilot read what I wrote :)
Although I love Eatzis, I always end up just walking around and around and around the center food section and cannot make up my mind. For some reason, tonight I just went with the build your own pasta section. Not too excited about it, although it was definitely good. I ate less than half and then gave the rest to Brian. Apparently his salmon and huge side of mashed potatoes was not enough food for him. I hate boys and their endless matabolism......
They serve beer in cans. But man, I do love me some Louie's pizza! Fun night tonight celebrating a friend's birthday--and drinking beer out of cans, of course.
Finally saw the movie "Inception" tonight. Everyone's been raving about it, and I personally did not think it disappointed! It was so nice to finally see a movie that wasn't based off a book {comic or otherwise} or a re-make of an old movie. Seems like original, creative movies are hard to come by lately. But this is definitely a must-see!
I had dinner and drinks with my sweet friend, Laura, today. Her boyfriend proposed a week ago, so I couldn't wait to talk about all things wedding.....and see the ring, of course! Isn't it perfect? Laura's so excited, and I'm so happy for her!
Project 365 challenges you to take a photo a day, each day for a year. It's a way to capture the little things in your life--the ones that make the most memories.
