Day 342: Back at Work

I'm back at work.
Feeling sick.
Ready for my vacation to start.
Really not wanting to work.

But these little gifts, which were waiting for me on my desk today, sure made the day just a little bit brighter.

Day 341: Goodbye NYC

Before we left today {and by left I mean arrived at the airport RIDICULOUSLY early for our flights}, we had to stop by the famous Dylan's Candy Bar for some treats. This place was my Heaven. I loooove candy! And how pretty is it??

Day 340: Day 2 in NYC

I don't have the pictures from The Nutcracker, and I certainly didn't take any of our horrific pedi cab experience. So I'll post this picture--one my sister took on my camera of a building. Just a random building in NYC. And yet, I love it.

Day 339: Welcome to NYC!

I've been to NYC in summer, spring, and fall. So I was really excited to visit it during Christmastime! So much better than 80-degree Dallas to get you in the Christmas Spirit :)

Day 338: Must . Get . Sleep

I have a 3:45 am wake-up call for my flight to NYC tomorrow. And I haven't packed yet. Hope I get some sleep soon!

Day 337: Appetizers

I don't usually make an "appetizer" when I cook, but for some reason I did tonight. I knew dinner would take awhile, so I made us an edimame appetizer {my absolute FAVE sushi place app}.

Day 336: Goodbye

Tonight was my final "hang out" with my little sister, Dynaya. I realized with everything happening in my life, I just don't have the time to commit to being a Big Sister. It was very sad saying goodbye to Dynaya for the last time. She's a great little girl, and I hope someone with much more time on their hands becomes her Big Sister soon!!

{Naturally, for our last outing, she chose Chuck E Cheese. Her favorite place on earth, and the bane of my existince.}

Day 335: Happy Holidays from SWA!

Today was the annual SWA Holiday Concert in the main lobby. Good songs, but the cookies went too fast, and I didn't get one. Cue sad face Kristy :(

Day 334: In Case You Want To Send Gifts

I sent this to family/friends. But for purposes of the blog, I've smudged the address. Can't believe I'm moving in with a BOY. Eek!

Day 333: Who Knew?

While I was shopping at North Park today, I realized that H&M was already open. Who knew?! Odd that an Old Navy in the Park Lane Center could take 14 months to build, but this can be thrown up in about 3 weeks. Oh well, I'm not complaining!

Day 332: Sushi Zushi

So I used to say that I would NEVER order sushi for delivery. It just seemed.....wrong.

But I caved, and Brian and I ordered some Sushi Zushi for dinner tonight. The verdict? YUM!

Day 331: SWA Holiday Party

Tonight, we got dressed up in our finest and headed.....back up to work. Because, once again, the SWA Holiday Party was held at The Landing (aka our cafeteria). At least it's decorated nice! And it's always fun to see people outside of work (even if it's at work...hmmm.....).
And side note: How awesome is the Chester photo in the background? Just happened to snap the picture as that one rolled through on the slideshow. Loves. It.

Day 330: Christmas!

It hasn't felt like Christmas at all this year, and I've been bummed. But then I took Zoe for a walk around Brian's apartment today, and walked into this! Neiman Marcus realizes it's Christmas, and I LOVE IT!

Day 329: HAVE to post

OK, so I didn't take this photo. And it's not from today. But I just HAD to post it. Because seriously--how freaking adorable are my niece and nephew? Love them more than I could ever say.

(This is one of their Christmas card photos. LOVE!)

Day 328: Salvation Army Angels!

I (finally) went shopping for my Salvation Army Angels today--I had twin 14-year-old boys. They both wanted jeans and a watch. I got them the same jeans, but mixed it up a little with the watches. Both brown leather but slightly different. Hope they like them!

Day 327: run it, run it

So I've never been more exhausted at work than I was today. Long weekend of Keeks' shower and driving back early yesterday to attend another wedding shower in Dallas. But I was determined to go for a run. So I threw on my workout clothes the second I walked in the door--if I get too comfortable, there's no WAY I'll leave my cozy apartment. I was cold (because I'm a wuss), so I just did 3.5 miles on the dreadmill. The best part is how awake I feel after--even when I'm exhausted before!

Day 326: Murder?

I came home from Spring today to find....um.....a murder scene right outside my door?? I'm hoping it's just wine. But I guess you never know :-/

Day 325: Punch!

Tonight was Keeks' shower. And it was a big success! But the star of the shower (besides Keeks, of course!) was the last-minute punch I made. It went FAST! Must ensure I double the recipe for next part :)

Day 324: Reindeer Zoe!

I drove down to Spring today to help host a couple's wedding shower for my BFF, Keeks. She couldn't wait to give me my hostess gift--and I can see why! It's an adorable, Reindeer Zoe!! Can't wait to put this out every Christmas :) Thanks, Keeks!

Day 323: NOT COOL

Someone put a trash bag right outside my door (which isn't near any other apartment doors). Of course, it looks like my trash. But I refuse to take it the 20 feet to the trash chute. It's a principle thing.

And when I got back from dropping Zoe off at Brian's today, the trash bag had moved....to directly NEXT to my door! Not cool, people, not cool.

You haven't won, though. I'm still not taking it to the trash.

Day 322: New Snack

So it doesn't look that appetizing in photos, but trust me, it's DELISH! My new fave post-run snack is toast + hummus + tomato slices + salt/pepper. YUM!

Day 321: Don't Lecture Me

I'm in the running for fiancee of the year. Tonight I accompanied Brian to a lecture at SMU. A Columbia professor/economist spoke about....well....the economy, of course.

Don't worry, I got frozen yogurt as my treat afterward :)

Day 320: Bedspread

While shopping for a wedding shower present at the most overwhelming store in the world (that would be Bed, Bath & Beyond, of course), I stumbled upon this. I think it's the perfect bedspread for my and Brian's new apartment! Masculine color? Check. So soft? Check. Win & Win.

Day 319: Invite?

This beautiful, letterpressed sample I ordered arrived today. Could this be our wedding invitations? Hmm.....it just might be!

Day 318: Rough Day?

Apparently Zoe had a rough day of.....riding in a car back to Dallas. So she took it upon herself to crawl into my overnight bag and take a 3-hour nap. Cutest dog ever? Um, yeah. I'd say so.

Day 317: My, How We've Grown

The family started as two, as all do:
Mom + Dad
Then there was the sister
Then me (the best, of course)
Sister married Joey
I got Zoe
Sister + Joey had Joseph
Beautiful Ellie joined sister+ Joey + Joseph
Brian put a ring on it

And the result? One crowded mantle and one big, happy family!

Day 316: Happy Thanksgiving!

Due to some unfortunate circumstances, it's just me and the parents for Thanksgiving this year (plus a coworker of my mom's). But we still had a beautiful table, great food, and--most importantly--an AGGIE VICTORY! I'd say that's quite a successful Thanksgiving!

Day 315: On the Road Again.....

After a morning packed with wedding-related errands, Zoe and I have hit the road. Thanksgiving at my parents' house, here we come!

Day 314: Big Surprise

I went to Vino 100 tonight. Again. Just can't get enough of this place!
