I can't believe the year of taking a photo a day is over! In the past year, I've gotten engaged, moved in with a boy (yikes!), and started planning a wedding. The very first photo I took, one year ago today, was of my new single-girl apartment. I was so excited to live alone, and I'm so glad that I did. Once you're married, you (hopefully!) never live alone again. I thought it was only fitting that my last photo be of my new, almost-married girl apartment. It's messy, kind of like my life right now. But it's also kind of perfect. And if you look closely, you can see Zoe popping her head out of the blanket. Love her! She sure graced the pages of this blog often.
2010 was a great year. But 2011 is bound to be even better.

Day 364: Try 'Em
They're Target brand.
They're cheap.
And they're the best tortilla chips I've ever had outside a restaurant.
Do yourself a favor and try 'em today. You can thank me later.

Day 363: Accidental Fashion
I had to be at Love Field at 6am today to take some pictures, so I got dressed in the dark. I was certain that the tights I pulled out of my drawer would totally clash with the dress I threw on, but at 5:30am, I truly couldn't care less. Imagine my shock when the last-year Target tights almost completely match the tan stripes in my this-year Loft dress. How random! Love when that happens. And here I was convinced I'd be a walking catastrophe today at work.....
Day 362: Snoooooooow
Day 361: Love Field Parking Wins Again
I can't count how many times I've parked in the same freaking parking lot at Love Field. And yet I manage to get lost finding my car every.single.time. Because here's the thing. I'm on Level 1 Row C, right? Well guess what--there's more than one Level 1 Row C. So you'll walk the whole darn thing about to rip your hair out before you finally stumble upon your car 20 minutes later. And did I mention it was snowing outside, and I didn't have a coat? Welcome home!
Day 360: Bachelorette Time!!!

Day 359: Waiting, Waiting, Waiting
Day 358: FOUND!
After two days with no keys (and having to drive Brian to work, take his car to work, then pick him back up), I finally FOUND THE KEYS! They were hidden inside this little box of food (which can't be put up yet, since we don't have a freakin' pantry). Yaaaay! Now they can live on my pretty little hook, and I shall never lose them again.
Day 357: Necklace Problem Solved
Day 356: Mystery
Tonight I was determined to put the kitchen in order. Boxes are consuming our lives, and I'm sick of it. In the midst of making it all pretty (as seen above), I lost my keys. And I don't mean I found them 20 minutes later. I mean I lost them. And I fear they may never be found. Oh, did I mention they're the keys to my parents' Tahoe? Score.
Day 355: Pantry
Why, oh why, do some apartments not have pantries? Just because we don't own a home, we don't eat? Our fab new apartment, while great in so many ways, lacks a pantry. So I went to the Container Store and picked up this little number for the door in the kitchen that leads to the laundry nook. It's great, but definitely not a substitue for a "real" pantry. Oh well. Guess that means I don't have to cook that much??
Day 354: Adios, Single Girl Apartment
Day 352: Oh yeah, it's NYE
So in the midst of moving into our new apartment (EEK!!), I completely forgot it was New Years Eve. And then I saw this limo. And lots of fun people, dressed up in fun clothes, going out for a fun night. And then I got a little sad. But then I remembered that I was old, and walking down McKinney Ave in a sparkly dress and 4-inch heels in the freezing cold just didn't seem as appealing as it once did. Weird.
Day 350: Happy Birthday, Brian!
Brian's old. Like really old. And I love that I can say that, because you know what? No matter how old *I* get--he'll always be older :)
He didn't want to do anything for his birthday, so I just cooked dinner at his apartment. Of course, no birthday celebration is complete without dessert, so I whipped up his fave--blackberry cobbler!
Happy birthday, Brian!
Day 349: Snuggle Time
