Day 76: Mail

I mostly get junk mail, since I don't even get paper bill statements anymore. But I'm always excited when my TCU Magazine comes each month. I realized today, however, that I immediately flip directly to the wedding announcements....and then toss it. Guess I don't really get that excited :)

Day 75: Driving Home

I love how guys insist on driving. It doesn't offend me at all because I dread driving. Glad when I have Brian to drive me [and Zoe] home....

Day 74: Celebrating Joseph!

Today, we celebrated Joseph's second birthday with a train-themed party. All was well until Joseph had a bit of a freak out. I don't think he enjoyed the singing, other kids playing with his gifts, and all-around mayhem. This sad face just about sums up the day :) 

Day 73: Work Stuff

I went to DAL today to photograph the first-ever delivery of ship set flight bags to our aircraft.....

What I didn't get to photograph today was Shelley's goodbye lunch. TEAR. Can't believe she's leaving us :(

Day 72: Wardrobe Overhaul

So I decided recently that I need an entire new wardrobe. My boss (wisely?) told me that I should think about that for a couple days before shopping. I didn't listen. But one of my favorite new stores in Ann Taylor LOFT. A salesperson told me today that they recently had a complete store makeover. I thought maybe I was just getting older? It's probably a little of both. Either way, I got a few great pieces for my brand new wardrobe :)

Day 71: Goodbye Sarah

For Sarah's last night, we went to Sushi Axiom (and enjoyed many a drinks) and then headed to the wine bar next door. Fun night! And such a fun time with Sarah. Wish I could see her more often but glad we can see each other from time to me. I'll miss her!

Day 70: Zoe Loves Aunt Sarah

While Sarah's in town, she's been hanging out with Zoe during the day. Pretty sure she's going to hate it when Sarah leaves. Sunbathing all day is much more fun then being stuck in my bathroom....

Day 69: Joseph's 2!

Holy crap--my baby nephew is already 2! LOVE him.

Day 68: Unpredictable Texas Weather

There's a group on Facebook: "Texas--the only state where you can experience all four seasons in one week."

And it's oh-so-true. It snowed. In Texas. In mid-March. (Which just so happened to be the first day of Spring...oh, the irony....)

Day 67: Mexican Food & Margaritas

The first thing Sarah wants to do when back in Texas is grab Mexican food and margaritas. Love a good Mi Cocina night with good friends.

Day 66: Sarah's Here!!!

I drove to DFW Airport today to pick up one of my best friends, Sarah. She comes in town once a year from Utah, and I love our visits! 

Day 65: Worst Picture Ever

So I took this horrible photo as I left Park today. It was after one of my dinners with Laura (and after two fabulous cocktails). Side note: Don't go shopping at Target after drinking two cocktails. You really don't need everything you just threw in the cart....

Day 64: Shamu

Today when I was leaving work, I saw Shamu taxiing the runway. It reminded me of a funny childhood memory. When SWA got its first Shamu plane, I would ask my dad every.single.time he got home from a trip if he flew Shamu. And he would say Yes. Every.single.time. And I believed him. I realized later he was so obviously lying--but it sure made me happy at the time!

Day 63: Eatzi's

I left the gym tonight, starving and with no food at my place. I hate going to the grocery store in workout clothes, so I headed to Eatzi's--land of the gym-clothes-wearing-crowd. And tonight did not disappoint. Many a ladies in their workout gear.

But as I was shopping around, I took a look at what these supposedly straight from the gym girls were buying. Fried chicken, mashed potatoes with cheese, ice cream, cheesecake...the list of fattening food goes on and on. Made me laugh to see people in workout clothes buying this type of food....

Day 62: Headlights On

...during my drive to work. I hate that. 

But I don't complain when it's light until 8p.m.

Day 61: Thanks, Shannon!

Over a year ago, I told my friend Shannon that I really liked her embroidered bag. Well today--she surprised me with my own! So sweet of her! I LOVE it. Thanks again, Shannon :)

Day 60: St. Patrick's Day

I love St. Patty's in Dallas. And this year, the weather was perfect! It was a great day. But this is the one and only picture I managed to take today....

Day 59: Laying Around

That's all we did....in preparation for the annual St. Patty's Day parade!!

Day 58: EEK

Every night before I leave work, I clean my coffee cup in the break room, and I [used to] leave it out on my desk, ready for the next morning.

That is until I came to work and found a COCK ROACH inside my coffee mug. I.almost.died. I made my boss take it and throw the whole mug out.

So I pulled this bad boy out from storage. Don't be jealous :) Yes, that is not one but two dachshunds on the mug (which was a gift, by the way). The mug I now store upside down in a drawer at the end of the work day.

I still get queasy thinking about the roach....EEK!!...

Day 57: Bright Spot

Today was my monthly dinner with Randi (although we actually met up at Starbucks instead), and that's my REAL bright spot of the day. But I completely forgot to take a picture! Tear.

So I photographed the other bright spot of my day: My fun, new, bright coral flats!

Day 56: Dread

Bags packed for 5:45 a.m. spinning class = dread.

Good thing I'm always glad I went. Even though it takes everything in me to drag myself out of bed.

Day 55: Choo Choo!

Joseph's turning 2!

Joseph's second birthday party will be train-themed, so I created boarding pass invitations for all the little kiddos invited. I can't wait to celebrate with JoJo!

Day 54:Who's With Us?

Does anyone else hate the Oscars besides my sister and me? It could just be that I hate celebrities. I mean, you didn't cure cancer--you acted in a movie for $12 million. Annoying.

I only flipped to the channel to take the picture....

Day 53: Wheelmobile

That's right, the Wheelmobile came to Dallas today, and people could audition to bee on Wheel of Fortune!

I dragged Brian to the tryouts, and I was sooo excited! And then I learned that all 1000+ of the people who showed up put their names in a basket and 25 people were drawn. That sucks! Can't believe I wasted my Saturday afternoon on such a random drawing.

Oh and they have a "traveling" host and Fake Vanna who do this super low-rent version of the game (for the 25 people drawn). The Fake Vanna would draw the letters with a white erase marker. Lame!

Day 52: Lame

You know when you're lame? When you were super bummed that Karl Rove's book wasn't out yet, and you had to get InStyle instead. 

Yeah, I'm lame.

Day 51: One Happy Kid

I was supposed to take Dynaya roller skating today, but they didn't open until 9:30 p.m. What kind of a shady place is that?

So Dynaya wanted to go to Chuck E. Cheese again. She is in l-o-v-e with race car games, basketball, getting as many tickets as possible, and--of course--hot wings.

Day 50: I Spy

ZOE! Look at her little paws sticking out from under the blanket. Loves....

I still haven't thrown out my Valentine's Day flowers. And now they look like this....

Day 48: Seriously, Jake?

You picked Vienna? Agh. 

Annoying moments (just a highlight; there were way too many to name them all):

* Vienna and Jake dancing to above-mentioned music

* That Vienna got such a big ring! (She does not deserve that. Ha!)

(And who was not.at.all.surprised that Alli is the next Bachelorette? Like we didn't see that one coming.....)
