Day 313: Recovery

After a 3.5 mile run tonight, ALL I wanted was my foam roller.

Oh and some beef tenderloin with apricots and olives didn't hurt, either :)

Day 312: -300

It's better than the -500 that flew us to Little Rock.
Mostly because it flew us home :)

Day 311: An Arkansas Wedding!

Brian and I flew to Little Rock today for Tyler and Sloan's wedding. Good times!

Day 310: Only in Oak Lawn

I stopped at Einstein's Bagels in Oak Lawn on my way to work this morning. And I gotta say that only in Oak Lawn would a character like this would be out at 7:45 a.m., reading the Dallas Voice, and ordering a bagel with lox.

Day 309: dinners with dads

My favorite part of my dad's job is that he gets to come to Dallas frequently. I just love our dinners together! Tonight's dinner was at the new Gloria's in Uptown--aka home of my favorite bean dip!

Day 308: well, that won't work

I ordered a sample of a box I was thinking of using for part of my wedding favors. But yeah. That simply won't work. Good thing I ordered a sample! Would have hated to order 200 and then find out that the lids are all funky......

Day 307: Fly Away, Little Birdies!

Today, I finally mailed off my Save the Dates! Yep this wedding thing is really happening!

{Pretty sure the lady behind me thought I was a nut job as I took a picture of myself putting mail in a mailbox. Yep, I'm cool...}

Day 306: Near-Death Experience

Tonight, I almost died. And Zoe? She bailed on me. And didn't turn back.

So it was a regular ol' night, and I was baking a tilapia filet for dinner. I went in the kitchen when the timer went off and noticed smoke shooting out of one of the stovetop burners. I thought that was odd but didn't think too much of it. Until I opened the oven door. And through the cloud of smoke that poured out saw the fire. Yep, my oven was on fire.

The smoke detector immediately started going off, so I opened my front door to air out the apartment. That's when Zoe's fight or flight instincts took over. And she went with the "flight" instinct, apparently. I kind of had bigger problems to deal with and knew Zoe would be okay in my enclosed apartment building.

I put out the fire with some flour, waited until the smoke detectors had stopped ringing, and then went out to find Zoe. She was hanging out with some girl. Probably trying to find a new mom and a new home.

She then came back and slept for the rest of the night. Her nerves must have worn her out, bless her heart :) I spent the night cleaning the disgusting smelling, flour-filled oven. Can't believe I forgot to take a picture of the oven right after the fire! But here it is in all its newly-cleaned, "I nearly killed you" glory.

Day 305: Taunting

My Save the Dates {and adorable King & Queen stamps!} are still here. On my coffee table. Taunting me. Reminding me that I have still not sent them. Eeekkk......

Day 304: I'm an Adult

Today was one of those "OMG, I'm an adult. Like, a real one" kinda moments.

Brian and I went apartment hunting. For an apartment that we'll both live in. Together. Weird. I'm going to live with a boy. WEIRD.

Day 303: hair cut

I just had to post this adorable photo my sister sent me of my nephew--rockin' a brand-new hair cut and a mischievous grin :)

Day 302: Gross

That would be my grossly dirty, cluttered, awful desk at work. Agh.

Day 301: Dessert???

Let's pretend that the plate of olives I consumed during my monthly dinner with Randi tonight was, um, dessert??

Day 300: Couch for Sale

In case you know of anyone :) Weiner dog not included.
{Side note: I only have 65 more days left for my full year of taking a picture-a-day! CRAZY!}

Day 299: Reunited

And it feels so goooooooood!

Day 298: $8.19

It was lunchtime during my layover in Phoenix today. In an attempt to avoid the fattening options at Burger King, I picked up a sandwich at Starbucks.

A sandwich that costed $8.19. FOR ONE SANDWICH! I mean, really. That's just a little ridiculous. You better believe I ate every last crumb of that damn sandwich. I was getting my money's worth, for sure!

Day 297: GO FROGS

The Frogs dominated the Unviersity of Utah today. Great day to be a TCU alumni in Utah :)

Day 296: UTAH

I made it to Salt Lake City, Utah today! I'm ready for great weather, great friends, and great Frogs football!

Day 295: Classy

Yep, that would be a rubber "bumper" keeping my ring on. Don't mind me. I'm just keepin' it classy.........

Day 294: Couple's Shower

After a little bit of an ordeal, I finally picked up the invitations I made for Keeks & Rob's Couple's Shower!

Day 293: VOTE

Do it. Today. It's your right and privilege :)

Day 292: Save the Dates

I started figuring out my address labels for our fan-freakin'-tastic save the dates. I might be just a tiny bit biased when I say they are awesome, and I love them.

Since I want them to be a surprise to everyone who gets one, I just took a sneak-peek shot.

Day 291: Motherboard

Not sure if that's what the technical word for this little thing from inside my apartment gate fob is. But what I do know is that it's not supposed to just fall out. And then not fit back inside. Agh.

Day 290: Old School Brian

Brian and I were in Missouri today and took the opportunity to stop by his (seriously adorable) Granny's house.

And it was there that I discovered this little beauty. An old school soccer photo of Brian--rockin' the attitude and, apparently, 2-feet of hair.

I DIE. And then I took of a photo of it with my iPhone so that I may treasure it--and laugh at it--for years to come.
