Day 139: happy/sad

happy to be coming home.
sad to leave my parents.
happy to have brian, so i don't have to drive.
sad by the horrible traffic.
happy that my birthday is tomorrow.
sad that i'm getting old.
happy that i had great weekend.
sad that it's almost over and work starts tomorrow.

Day 138: Birthday Celebration #1

While visiting my parents, they celebrated my birthday with dinner and pie. {OK, it might have been all my idea to celebrate, but whatevs....}

My parents cooked a fabulous meal, per usual, which we enjoyed outside. This was the one and only photo I took with the self-timer. I can't believe how perfectly it was framed!

Day 137: Heaven.

Brian and I arrived at my parents' house on Lake Travis today. It's what I think of as my little piece of Heaven. I just love it here!

Day 136: Target Thinks It's 1998

I was at Target today, and I discovered that they apparently think it's 1998. Now usually, I'm a big fan of Target clothes. It may not be the highest quality clothing, but they definitely have a ton of cute pieces.

Today, I discovered a whole line of 1998-inspired clothing, including this flowered halter top, hawaiian print tube tops, and belly-bearing tanks. Seriously....

Day 135: SATC2!!

It might have gotten horrible reviews--and it definitely won't be up for any Oscars--but we just had to go see Sex and the City 2 on opening night! Kelly, Kara, Caroline, and I went to Studio Movie Grill so we could drink cosmos {and champagne!} while watching the movie.

Side note: I personally thought it was cute! Sure it's cheesy--but so was the TV show and the first movie. I wasn't expecting it to change my life... ;)

Day 134: New Traditions

Lately, Wednesdays have been the only weekday Brian and I can hang out. So it's become our new tradition that he come over and then we walk with Zoe to Bakers Brothers to pick up dinner. Zoe and I wait outside while he picks up the food to go. Zoe loves the walk, and we love the food. It's win-win :)

Day 133: Despise

I seriously, truly, without a doubt despise ironing. I save up all of my ironing until I absolutely have to do it. Which is what I did tonight. And I despised every second of it.
